After your child has had their wisdom teeth removed in Santa Rosa, California, they will be limited in their diet. This is especially true during the first week post-procedure. If you are unsure of what your child can eat, then you have come to the right place. Dr. Jiries Mogannam, Dr. Vicente Chavez and Dr. Christopher Chow have provided these instructions, as well as a few recommendations of what your child can eat. You can also take a look at our grocery store list.
Day One and Day Two
- Restrict their diet to foods that are semi-liquid and that can be easily swallowed, without much need for chewing.
- Also consider having them eat four to six times a day rather than eating three larger meals.
Good Options: JELL-O, pudding, ice cream, applesauce, yogurt, soup, cottage cheese and protein shakes (no straws).
Day Three
- Now you can add food that can be cut with a fork to their diet.
Good Choices: Eggs, bananas, avocados, oatmeal, mashed potatoes, pancakes, steamed vegetables, fish, meatloaf, deli meats and soft pasta.
